You know, I've never really looked at our forum before, but after seeing Colleen's old post, I feel it might be relevant to point out that I have a collection of various archival Autumns material online, which may interest some of you. Visit: elkins.smugmug.com. Scattered across the site are clips from shows dating back to 2000, photographs from the studio and our UK tour, as well as writings regarding our tour from hell back in the winter of 2003. All of these are updated somewhat regularly, so check back on occasion.

I highly recommend viewing all of The Elk's photos, they're absolutely breathtaking. That's an understatement. The guy certainly gets around. His photos really create a sense of "being there", which is great for me because it's unlikely that I'll have an opportunity to visit the far reaches of the globe as he has.

He is quite the worldly fellow. His photos, his writing, his film making, his music... is there anything that The Elk cannot do?

Hmmm... seems there's been an addition to The Elkins archive. Very nice.

Thanks for the heads up, mimsy! My first thoughts upon seeing these shots from the video shoot were the videos for R.E.M.'s "Crush with Eyeliner" and U2's "Even Better Than the Real Thing", at least in terms of lighting. Hopefully the boys won't have a ton of celebrity look-a-likes in their video, though. Cheers, edge

celebrity look-a-likes as in celebrities that look like the autumns or as in the autumns are the celebrities? I'm so bad with music videos. I'm an old lady who watches VH1 classic 120 minutes and BBC Crown Jewels... so behind the times. Speaking of that, I caught an AMAZING Siouxsie and the Banshees concert on BBC Crown Jewels. Astounding. It made me remember why I loved them so many years ago...
Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to knitting on the front porch... has anyone seen my walker?

celebrity look-a-likes as in celebrities that look like the autumns or as in the autumns are the celebrities? Neither, actually. U2 had a bunch of celebrity impersonators appear in their video. With the quick editing, though, many are overlooked by the casual viewer. That said, one of the most convincing ones has to be the guy who was pretending to be your boy Prince! I'm with you in feeling old... I pretty much just admitted that I remember a time when MTV actually played videos! Cheers, edge

Well, either way I'm pretty excited about the prospect of some ocular stimulation. I wonder what it will look like comparatively to other modern music videos?

I watched those two clips you have up of your documentary. I see that the last time you edited that information was back in March and I was wondering if it is any closer to completion.
I'm not very good with words, so I won't try to explain what I find so exciting about your film, but I will say that I really appreciate the idea behind it and I would love to know that I will be able to watch the completed work sometime in the near future.
