so, i just recently got into this band a few months ago and i get the feeling that i am too late. i noticed that there isn't any news being updated on the front page and most threads on here are 2+ years old.
so does anyone know if these guys are going to make a new album? or tour or anything like that?
i just wish i would have found out about this band sooner. i had a hard time buying all of their albums because most of them have been discontinued, i mean some of them are online to download but they were ripped at a very poor quality so i got them off amazon for pretty cheap.

As a long-time follower of the Autumns, I suppose I'm used to these types of "absences" and periods of inactivity/news. I became a fan just before "Russet Gold" came out, saw them live, and then... nothing. For nearly 4 years. I honestly thought they'd called it a day. It wouldn't have shocked me - tons of indie bands (good and bad) go unnoticed and decide to give up the dream.
Then the self-titled record dropped in '04 after the band strung together enough studio time (subsidized in part by a benefit show) to create another masterpiece. After brief tours of the UK and the US, again... nothing. For another 3 or so years.
My only disappointment with this latest lull is that I couldn't see them live in support of "Fake Noise...". They played more overseas than Stateside, and I wasn't able to make the road trip during the workweek to catch them here in Northern CA. I hope that it's not "The End" for them but I do know that each band member is ridiculously talented beyond simply music-related ventures, and involved in other pursuits (e.g., photography, film, art, education, etc.). I'm sure they're keeping busy, even if it's not in any band-related capacity.
Hopefully we'll see them surface again in the future, with another record and/or a tour. Either would be mind-blowing as usual, I'm sure.
Cheers,
edge
